- ALHASAN SYSTEMS is a privately owned development company with a history that goes back to 1989. It was incorporated with the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan [SECP] in 2010 as a private limited company under the Companies Ordinance XLVII 1984. The firm specializes in Hi-Tech Knowledge Research, Capacity Building, Field Assessments, Business Process Engineering, Geospatial Engineering, Software Engineering, and Publishing. ALHASAN SYSTEMS field assessments, data collection, analysis, and information illustration techniques and methodologies are highly sophisticated when compared to other traditional in-use means and methods. Firm’s management and consulting team maintains post-graduate and doctorate level qualifications in demography and statistics (covering tools such as Excel, Access, SPSS, STATA, GeoStatistical Analyst, ERDAS Imagine, ILWIS, GeoMedia, and R), Sociology, Business Psychology, the Political Economy of Development, Disaster Risk Management, GIS, and rural/ urban development from recognized institutions and at least 10 years of work experience within their sectors. The firm maintains its main offices in Peshawar and Islamabad with 29 staff members and 50+ highly qualified national and international associates. The consultancy team also has experience of working across Pakistan developing good working relations with local and provincial level government and humanitarian organizations. The subject Flood Risk Assessment Report – FRAR 2015 identifies 606 Riverine Flood Risk Category-1 and 1,770 Risk Category-2 prone Union Councils of Pakistan using its very effective hi-tech and low-cost analytical tools and capabilities. This national level exercise is followed by a detailed profile of Union Council Haibat of District Kashmore, Sindh to exhibit what is achievable at such scale for not only enhanced Damage/ Need Assessments, but also long-term Disaster Risk Management (DRM), and Development exercises.
