- This report summarizes the proceedings and highlights from the Forum on Safe and Resilient Infrastructure and the Government Executive Meeting that took place in Manila, Philippines, in October 2013. The two-part event was organized by the World Bank and the Philippine Depart- ment of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), with support from the Australian government and the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR). The forum and executive meeting were attended respectively by 116 and 41 participants—officials from national, provincial, and municipal agencies; representatives from local associations, development partners, and the private sector; national and international experts; and other practitioners.
